Project Background

One dashboard for TripleE Fusion to monitor and display client’s marketing data call tracking, ad words, reviews, website analytics, SEO, Facebook ads. Automated custom reports for clients for all their marketing channels.

TripleE Fusion needed a better way to monitor and display marketing data from multiple channels and create and distribute client reports. They were using complicated spreadsheets that took a long time to put together from lots of sources just managing the different logins was a logistical nightmare.

ROLE: UX/UI DESIGN

My Responsibilities

  • Gathered and documented all current reporting and monitoring used in the agency to help get my head around the scope of the new product.
  • Meet bi-weekly with the project manager and the Fusion team to go over upcoming changes needed and create deadlines for each new version.
  • Conducted a UX audit of the different processes of reporting and monitoring of the client’s marketing data.
  • Provided wireframes, high fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and assets.
  • Facilitated user testing within multiple departments
DESIGN PROCESS

From Idea to Prototype in Just a Week

A lean UX approach was used sketching, presenting, critiquing, researching, testing, prototyping, and wireframing. To keep the project on track and get it in the hands of the user as quickly as possible for testing and feedback.

Once I had some sketches and mockups completed I meet with the developers and started a more tradition agile methodology to get this project in the hands of the user the marketers and account managers to help save time and money on monitoring and reporting to clients about their campaigns.

    Once I had sketched out most of the screens for the dashboard my team and I made some changes and added some new features. I then moved on to some low-fi / wireframes to help flush out more ideas and id any potential problems that weren’t clear in the ideation stage.

    Designed Mockup for the dashboard using the feedback from the developers from the sketches.

    Building inhouse was great since all my users were in the office so feedback and reviews happened fast. A weekly design review meeting helped me keep in front of the scrum team.

    Designed and built a prototype in Adobe XD

    Tested was easy since we are all in the same office. I was able to monitor and give out tasks to account executives and marketers and have them test and give feedback.

User Testing & Iteration

User interviews with the TripleE Fusion team gave insight into how the platform was going to be used. Account, executives wanted to get data fast and, on the fly, and automate reports for clients. Marketers needed to monitor their efforts and quickly identify what was working and what needed attention.
I conducted user testing with prototypes using time-based tasks, with the account executives and the marketers to identify the pain points and to make sure they where addressed in future iterations. By challenging my assumptions kept me designing for the users and ultimately reduced the cost of testing through ROI.

4 Years of Updates
Continued the designs and updates for 4 years as user feedback was easily heard in the office. As teams used and struggled with the platform and new people where trained on the platform.
STYLE GUIDE

Colors

The Colors where muted grays as a background and bright colors to highlight graphs to be easy to see and differentiate between the data.

Fonts

I choose the custom apple font San Francisco Pro the clean easy readability and gave a modern feel to the UI.

UI Icons

Built SVG UI icons in illustrator and imported into Adobe XD for mockups and prototyping.

Marketing Fusion

Marketing Fusion has saved TripleE Fusion’s Account Executives 250 hours a month in client reporting. The marketers have increased ROI for TripleE fusion by creating better results in every marketing channel for all clients. Having all of their dashboards in on app decisions are made much fast and patterns are more apparent.

The App has been used for the last three years and is constantly updated and new features added.
