Fusion Builder Empowering Designers, Streamlining Development
Fusion Builder was developed in-house at TripleE Fusion, driven by the CEO’s vision to eliminate the bottlenecks designers face when relying on developers. The goal: build a lightweight, fast, and intuitive website builder that lets designers create stunning websites no coding required.
By enabling designers to independently craft layouts and iterate quickly, the development team was free to focus on custom features and innovation. The result? Faster project delivery, higher-quality code, and more creative freedom across the board.
My Role: Principal Product Designer
As the lead UX/UI designer, I guided the product from concept to launch, ensuring it met both user needs and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducted discovery sessions with stakeholders, senior designers, and developers
- Led technical feasibility research to define product constraints
- Designed user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Oversaw user testing across multiple development phases
- Created a scalable design system to support consistent and flexible layouts

The Pivot: Cutting Scope to Do It Right
This project started roughly six months after the Dashboard build, and I came into it determined not to repeat the same mistake trying to solve everything at once.
At the time, our team was building custom sites across four platforms: Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, and SharePoint (my partner and CEO's specialty). The initial idea was a builder flexible enough to span all of them. But as I started scoping requirements, a bigger, more painful problem became clear: without a consistent UI system, every site icons, styles, components varied wildly depending on which designer or developer built it. Fixing that inconsistency was costing our team roughly 40 hours of rework per site.
I made the case to cut scope down to WordPress only, and it wasn't an easy sell. My partner pushed back hard she wanted to keep SharePoint and Joomla in scope. I made two arguments: SharePoint didn't need to be rebuilt, since it was already a mature, standalone platform we could keep using as-is for projects that needed it. And WordPress beat Joomla and Drupal outright for blogging, which was a core need across our client sites. To prove it, I had to show her a modern, polished WordPress site built with the CSS approach I planned to bring into the builder once she saw that, she agreed to focus scope on WordPress.
With scope narrowed, I standardized on Font Awesome icons natively in the builder, a single UI kit for all components, and Google Fonts so designers could choose typefaces within a consistent system solving the 40-hours-per-site rework problem at its root, rather than patching it site by site.
Where Dashboard taught me the cost of under-scoping and having to fight for more later, Fusion Builder taught me the opposite lesson — the cost of over-scoping, and the discipline of cutting to what actually mattered.
Impact
Fusion Builder changed how we approached web projects at TripleE Fusion. It not only empowered designers to move faster and more creatively but also allowed the development team to focus on innovation rather than routine implementation.
This project reinforced my belief in cross-functional collaboration, design-driven development, and the power of intuitive tools to unlock team potential.

Design Approach
Lean UX for Early Momentum
We began with Lean UX methodology sketching ideas, gathering feedback, and testing quickly. Developers were looped in early, which not only fostered alignment but also helped us identify technical hurdles before they became roadblocks.
Agile Sprints for Delivery
Once the core concept was validated, we shifted to Agile Scrum. I worked just ahead of the dev team, refining and testing designs with our in-house designers and the CEO. Each sprint began with finalized assets and interactive prototypes, keeping design and development perfectly in sync.
One interaction detail almost slipped through: early prototypes placed the settings/build sidebar on the right side of the screen, sliding out over the canvas. It tested fine in short sessions, but during longer prototyping runs the kind of extended, hours-long building sessions real users would actually have the right-side panel started fighting with the browser's own scrollbar, making it frustrating to use two scrollable elements side by side. Moving the panel to the left side of the screen solved it immediately, and made a noticeable difference for anyone spending real time building a page.

- Faster Project Turnaround60%
Before: Average website build time was 2–3 weeks
After: Reduced to 5–7 days
Removing the dependency on developers for layout and styling let designers launch more projects in less time, giving the team a real edge on quick-turnaround client work.
(Measured by comparing average project timelines logged before and after rollout.)
- Onboarding Time for New Designers Reduced by70%
Before: new designers needed extensive training in the tech stack and layout standards before contributing.
After: with Fusion Builder's design system and global style components, new hires could start building within days instead of weeks.
(Based on average ramp-up time tracked across new hires pre- and post-launch.)
- Reduction in QA & Design-to-Dev Feedback Loops40%
Clean, consistent code generated automatically reduced mismatches between design intent and final implementation developers spent less time fixing layout bugs or manually adjusting visual elements.
(Tracked via number of design-to-dev revision rounds per project, before and after.)
- Brand Consistency: 95%+ Style-Guide Adherence Across Projects95%
Global UI components and style controls meant even non-technical designers maintained brand integrity across large, multi-page sites improving cohesion and client satisfaction without manual oversight.
(Measured via periodic style-guide audits comparing on-brand element usage across live projects.)
10–15 Developer Hours Saved Per Project
Designers handled the full layout process building, styling, content changes with drag-and-drop tools and reusable components, freeing developers to focus on custom functionality and higher-impact work.
(Estimated from average developer hours logged on layout/styling tasks pre-launch vs. post-launch.)
3x Increase in Design Iterations During Client Review
Designers could spin up multiple layout variations in the same day, with no coding bottlenecks or wait times giving clients more options earlier in the project and leading to faster approvals.
(Measured by comparing average number of design variations presented per client review, before and after.)
AI Operations for Commercial Contractors

A 0→1 enterprise product concept that connects field activity, job-cost data, project scope, and operational signals to identify margin risk earlier. I designed a human-in-the-loop AI workflow that moves from risk detection → evidence → recommendation → action while keeping financial and contractual decisions under human control.
AI-Native Job Search Automation

I was losing 20 hours a week just searching three job sites by hand, saving promising listings into a spreadsheet that was already stale by morning. I built a tool that scrapes, filters, and scores listings against my real background daily — landing at 30–50 high-signal matches a day after 14 iterations, with a one-click "Copy Apply Prompt" that turns a match into a tailored resume pass in seconds.
Designing for Trust, and a Growing Client Base

The COPE CORRALES website had become an evolving reflection of the firm's rapid growth. Working from seven years of client data, I redesigned it into a trustworthy financial site with dynamic forms and a student loan refinance calculator built for the older, established professionals the firm had actually grown to serve.
Unified Dashboard From Chaos to Clarity

Google Ads, call tracking software, SEO tools, reviews, and website analytics losing real hours each month to manual reporting. I designed a unified dashboard that pulled every source into one place, turning a process that once took days into something the whole team could see updated in real time.
